To create a realistic effect, it is recommended
thst the surface to be coated be divided into symmetrical or free
form segments using Megatreat Tile Tape. If a coloured joint
is required, coat the entire surface with Megatreat Base Coat
Primer white tinted to desired colour and allow to cure for a
minimum of 16 hours.
First stir Liquid Sandstone to a creamy consistency.
1 sq metre per litre - one coat
Starting at the outside edge, pour a small amount
of Megatreat Liquid Limestone onto the surface and spread with
a steel laying trowel evenly to small areas at a time. Finish
off with long even strokes, which produces the desired layer effect.
Then move to the next section making sure to maintain a wet edge.
To createn different coloured highlights: (1) Dilute
1 part tinter or coloured oxide to 3 - 4 parts water into a small
hand sprayer. (2) Randomly spray a small amount of colourant over
the freshly troweled section, or to the face of the trowel, then
re-trowel the area to blend in colour.
With dry or porous surfaces, slightly dampen the
surface with water prior to application. Apply with a steel
laying trowel starting at the top and work down at a 900mm - 1200mm
wide section at a time. If vertical panels are required,
apply Megatreat Tile Tape, top to bottom at the desired width.
4 - 8 hours dependiong on the temperature.
Do not apply below 10 degress celsius or above 32 degress celsius.
Pull up tape after 6 to 12 hours and no longer than 18 hours.
Allow 24 hours before subject to foot or vehicular traffic.
Horizontal Surface, if subject to foot traffic,
seal with 2 coats of Megatreat 2000 Natural Sealer.
Clean all equipment with fresh water immediatly
after use.
