For these great effects, a textured roller applicator is required.  Available at your hardware store.

Timber Look

a realistic, hard wearing, timber-look surface is achieved by the following steps:

1. Apply Megatreat Tile Tape on the substrate to the desired board width
2. Apply Liquid Limestone slightly tinted with Raw Umber Paint Tint available at most paint stores, over the surface with a steel finishing trowel.  Work in manageable sections at a time.
3. Roll lightly over each board width section only onve with a damp swag texture roller and allow to dry 2 - 4 hours.
4. Lightly sand off the surface with an electric sander, then vacuum or broom off dust
5. Stain the surface with week solutions of ywllow ochre and raw umber tints plus water with a sponge.  Wipe of excess with a damp paint pad.
6. Seal the surface with Megatreat Satin or Natural Look Sealer.
